Some nights the mind keeps its own hours.

It replays the day.

It rehearses tomorrow.

It will not be argued into quiet.

On those nights, I listen.

This is a sleep story for adults, told slowly, the way the season asks us to. How the animals sleep through winter. How a body can rest deeply and trust that spring knows the way back.

It has been my companion on the long nights, and tonight I am sharing it with you.

From Wonders After Dark, on YouTube.

Press play.

Let the lights go low.

Let the room go quiet.

Rest is not earned at the end of the day.

Rest is where the day begins again.

With gratitude,

Sandy
